Cool photos from the 70's and today!
I saved up every penny to buy my first car, an old 280 second hand Mercedes. I paid for it in cash from selling Runaways, Ramones and Bay City Rollers photos to Japanese magazines. My parents could not believe it. It was an amazing feeling and I am really grateful that my parents did not just give me a car. They wanted me to work for it and that was a great lesson!

In L.A. cool cars have always been chick magnets. Always has been and always will be that way. Around 1977 I had sold so many photos of rock starts to Japanese magazines that I was able to buy my first car. It was a really cool second hand Mercedes that had only 10,000 miles on it. That’s me on the left with a girlfriend Jeri. She was so incredibly sexy and so was my car!
