I hung out with Joan Jett last weekend in New York! It had been 30 years since I saw Joan and it was such a cool meeting. We shot the shit about the seventies, The Runaways, Kim Fowley and life! All good stuff.

I traveled for 20 plus hours from Tokyo to Los Angeles yesterday to make it in time to wish Cherie Currie a happy 50th birthday last night. Cherie looks amazing. Funny how none of us look our age. It was amazing to be in the same room as the granddaughter of Elvis!

This photo of Joan Jett was from a cool photo session that I did in 1977 on Hollywood Blvd. Our good friend Rodney Bingenheimer, the Mayor Of The Sunset Strip, showed up at the end of the shoot to hang out and and “do the dog”!
I just knew that when I made this cool photo of Joan Jett in her dumpy Tropicana Motel room in 1977 room that it would become memorable. I was all of about 17!
