I just saw some dude on Tumblr who has used all of my Runaways photos without even giving me a fucking photo credit. That’s not nice. I spend countless hours posting my early photos without a watermark to share with the new generation and the least you can do is give me a photo credit when you repost. 

Now that I got that off my chest here is a vintage photo of teenage Cherie and Marie Currie in their garden back in in 1978. Yep, that is teenage me in the center! I was so shy, I should have just thrown them over my shoulder and carried them back to my apartment!

Everyone always asks what is my favorite photograph. Well, I have so many of them that are in boxes that I have not edited or scanned yet. I found this classic over the weekend and it’s definitely on the top of my list. A classic RAW photograph of teenage twins Cherie and Marie Currie in their bedroom in 1977. Simple flash on camera and a roll of black and white film. My greatest photos of The Runaways were all done in black and white. So do you like this one????

I went to High School with the fox in the center of this photo. Her name was Vicki Ronald and she joined the band Venus And The Razor Blades. Kim Fowley was the bands producer, manager, etc and he gave her the name Vicki Razor Blade. Yes, that is Marie and Cherie Currie in the photo too. They just happened to be in the neighborhood!

If this photograph is not a timestamp for 1977, I don’t know what is! I took this photo taken in Cherie Currie’s backyard. At this point the cat was out of the bag that Cherie had a beautiful twin, Marie. The Japanese demanded more photos and Jackie Fox, who lived in the neighborhood stopped by to say hello. This is classic 1977 lighting. Backlit and dreamy!

I thought that I was seeing double when I took this photo of Cherie with twin Marie in the backyard of their Van Nuys home. I shot it in color too, but it is much cooler in black and white. Comment please…
