Always keep your camera next to you when you drive down the 10 freeway in L.A. You never know what kind of imagery will appear right in front of your eyes!

I took this photograph in early 1980 at a Richard Avedon opening in Los Angeles. You know me, I was always watching the party crashers and here is a classic one in front of an Avedon nude. I had just returned from Tokyo with the very first Canon point and shoot camera and Avedon had never seen one before. Thank god he did not see me take this photo in front of his print!
I traveled for 20 plus hours from Tokyo to Los Angeles yesterday to make it in time to wish Cherie Currie a happy 50th birthday last night. Cherie looks amazing. Funny how none of us look our age. It was amazing to be in the same room as the granddaughter of Elvis!
Thank you to an amazing photographer and wonderful woman Barbara Porter for taking and sending me this lovely and memorable photograph! Thank you Barbara!
