Joan Jett and I were both teenagers during the summer of 77. I was drawn to her overwhelming talent and charisma and I always had my camera with me. Of all the photos I took of Joan, this shot of her giving me the double finger remains my favorite. It was only fitting to make this photo the debut of my new t shirt company, Summer 77. The t shirt is a limited edition and you can order it here. Earlier this week I met Keltie Colleen at the Whiskey A Go Go, the exact location where I took the photo 35 years earlier. Keltie modeled the t shirt for me, I took the photos and everyone walking down the street asked where they could get the shirt.
