Teenage Joan Jett in the San Fernando Valley after we ate a bunch of hot dogs. She practiced her batting and I quietly took some photos.
Of all the photos that I took of Joan Jett, this one is my favorite. It was taken at a place called Flooky’s on Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks in 1978. They sold hot dods there and you could rent a ball and bat and and practice your swing. I am going back to this location next week with a TV crew and relive the experience.
