I carted Alexia Starchild over to hear Eve Babitz speak at The Hammer Museum in Westwood last night. The evening was magical and afterwards we headed off to the Bar Toscana in Brentwood for some coffee and the light show. I see a bit of a young Debbie Harry in this Starchild photograph!
Alexia Starchild handed me her point and shoot camera the other day and I made this photograph. It kind of looks a bit Helmut Newton-esque to me. Helmut had such a rich and wonderful life with June and he loved her so much. She was so supportive. I need to find my June.
It’s so much fun to put two icons together for a photograph. I did it back in the 70’s with Dylan and De Niro and this evening I did it again with Lauren Rocket and Alexia Starchild. This photo was taken backstage at Rocket’s performance with The Child at Harvard & Stone in Hollywood. A COSMIC performance!
There is something really magical about this summer of 2011. I thought that I was in the South Of France when I visited Alexia Starchild over the weekend, but actually I was still in L.A. Something wonderful is about to happen this summer. I can feel it! I hope that you enjoy this Starchild photo and your summer.
If I live to be a very old man, I will never forget my days photographing Alexia Starchild.
Lolita in Sardina? Nope, Alexia Starchild here in L.A. yesterday. Film by The Impossible Project.
Alexia Starchild and I are hanging out by the pool today. I know by the look of this photograph it looks like we are in Capri, but actually we are still in L.A and lunch is being prepared for us!
