Photographing the Bay City Rollers was a license to print money back in 1976. They made several trips here to Los Angeles and I was always prepared to go to battle to get photos. I had so many calls, telexes and telegrams from overseas editors for these photos so I had to produce. I made friends with the band, did numerous photo sessions, bought a car from the photos and then they just sort of petered out. This photo is of Eric and Woody was taken at the Grease party in ‘78. Under normal circumstances, I would have been banned for life to taking and publishing a photo of a band member smoking, but at this stage of the game, no one gave a shit. We all had a good run!
